Things to Do at The Hidden Loop & Around Moeraki

A quiet pocket of the Otago coast

Some days you won't leave the deck. Other days you'll want to be out from breakfast.
Both are good. Here's what's on offer either way.

Slow things, close by

Everything below happens nearby the cabin. Most of it happens without any planning at all.

01

WALK THE LOOP

Your own bush track from the door. Take the short way along the creek and back after a small climb, or the longer climb through the canopy.

03

WOOD-FIRED HOT TUB

When you're ready simply light it and stoke it — best at last light, with the bush going quiet.

04

OUTDOOR FIRE & PIZZA NIGHTS

An open fire and a stone pizza kit just out from the deck.

Birdwatching

The bush around the loop is alive with native species. Mornings are loudest. Sit on the deck with a coffee — they'll come to you.
